Thus far in 2025, CIJF has partnered with 22 immigration attorneys to provide legal services for asylum seekers in immigrant detention centers. 

We have partnered with attorney Elizabeth Lopez (pictured above) since 2021. In 2025 alone, we have funded 24 of her asylum cases. During that time, she has won cases for asylum seekers from Nigeria, Mexico, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Somalia.
