CIJF is partnering with community advocates in support of our friend "Sofia".

Sofia is a beloved member of our community, and she was recently arrested and detained by ICE and torn apart from her teenage daughter.

Without the assistance of an attorney, Sofia will likely be deported to Venezuela, where she will be in serious danger.

We have retained a highly qualified attorney to represent Sofia in immigration court. We anticipate that the legal fees will total $5,000.

CIJF can contribute $2,500, and Sofia’s friends are working to crowdsource the remaining $2,500.
