Help us free our Cuban friend from detention!

CIJF is partnering with community advocates in support of our friend "Javier". 

Javier is a 76-year-old Cuban gentleman who suffers from dementia and was detained by ICE last month. 

Without the assistance of an attorney, Javier will likely be deported to Cuba, where he will be in grave danger.

We have retained a highly qualified attorney to represent Javier in immigration court.  We anticipate that the legal fees will total $7,500. 

CIJF can contribute $3,000, and Javier’s friends are working to crowdsource the remaining $4,500.

Today, we are raising the goal to $7,000 to cover additional costs for a medical evaluation and testimony from a country expert, in support of Javier’s case.
